SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Defensive tackle Brandon Bair is, at
26, at least two years older than almost everyone on Oregon's

And that's just the start of the differences between Bair and
his teammates.

Husband, father, used car salesman, Sunday school teacher and
with a degree in counseling and educational psychology - he is not
just one of the most unique players at Oregon, but in the country.

A 6-foot-7 senior, Bair anchors a defense that has the task of
trying to slow top-ranked Auburn and Heisman Trophy winner Cam
Newton in Monday's BCS national championship.

Whether the Ducks can do it or not, Bair will likely come out of
it with the same perspective and sunny disposition he's had since
arriving in Eugene in 2006 after a two-year Mormon mission.
