GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Florida coach Billy Donovan has filled
his final staff vacancy by hiring former assistant Matt McCall.

McCall returns to Florida after three seasons as an assistant
coach at Florida Atlantic.

Donovan says it was important to hire someone with familiarity
of the program after losing three assistant coaches. Larry Shyatt
(Wyoming), Rob Lanier (Texas) and Richard Pitino (Louisville) left
the program for better opportunities elsewhere. Donovan replaced
them with former head coaches John Pelphrey and Norm Roberts.

McCall originally joined Donovan's staff as a student manager in
2001. He became head manager the following year and later accepted a position as Florida's director of basketball operations, which he held for two seasons (2006-08).
