TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Charvez Davis and Tony Mitchell scored
21 points apiece and JaMychal Green added 14 as Alabama routed
Toledo 83-41 Monday night.
Davis made 7 of 10 shots, including 6 of 8 3-pointers. Mitchell
was 9 of 12 from the floor.
With Davis and Mitchell combining for 22 points, the Crimson
Tide (8-6) bolted to a 30-9 lead with 10:42 left in the first half.
Alabama limited the Rockets (3-11) to nine field goal attempts
in the first 9:46 and led 44-24 at halftime.
The Tide scored the first six points of the second half and the
lead ballooned to 83-40 on a field goal by Justin Luquire with 1:19
Mitchell and Green had eight rebounds for Alabama and Senario
Hillman had five assists. Jay Shunnar had 13 points and seven
rebounds for Toledo.
It was the final nonconference game for Alabama, which will
begin Southeastern Conference play Saturday at Mississippi State.
