The numbers are out.
On Friday, AL.com obtained Bruce Pearl's 35-page contract. The new Auburn head basketball coach will make more than $15 million over the next six years. Pearl will earn $2.175 million in his first year. That number is set to rise by $100,000 each year. Pearl already received $500,000 for inking his name.
The contract also includes the possibility of 20 additional bonuses. Those bonuses total $1.225 million in each year.
The contract also maps out Pearl's show-cause penalty. Auburn can either fire or suspend Pearl with an adjusted yearly salary of $1.2 million if it finds him in violation of his show-cause order. He will also be forced to pay back his signing bonus. The show-cause prevents Pearl from speaking to recruits. It ends on August 24th.
