The Auburn Football Team named Barrett Trotter as it's starting quarterback two weeks ago. Trotter will take his first snaps as the Tigers starter this weekend, when Utah State comes to Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Trotter can't wait to get on the field and lead the Tigers high-powered attack.
"It's very exciting any time you know you're going to get to start, and that's something that I've been looking forward to and working towards ever since I got here," Trotter said.
Auburn has spent the past month breaking in a new team, with battles for nearly every starting job. Trotter says it will feel good to leave training camp behind and play a real game on Saturday.
"Any time you get to go against a different opponent and see some different looks, and something that the defense isn't as familiar with, it will be a lot more fun."
Auburn will host Utah State at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday on ESPN2.
