TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama tailback Trent Richardson is set
to replace Heisman winner Mark Ingram, even if he's not ready to
admit it just yet.

The Crimson Tide's much talked about former backup insists he's
"still trying to fight for that starting position," and wants to
make sure he earns it this spring and fall.

Coach Nick Saban feels confident enough that Richardson won't
lose that drive to call him "the back" for Alabama.

Richardson is the headliner in a group of highly touted recruits
in the backfield this spring, including incoming five-star prospect
Dee Hart.

He has run for 1,451 yards and 14 touchdowns the past two
seasons behind Ingram and even managed to nab some of the spotlight from the likely first-round NFL draft pick.
