(AP) Bama-MSU have same records, different views
Alabama and Mississippi State have the same records, but
different perspectives.

The 11th-ranked Crimson Tide had its hopes for a second straight
national title effectively ended with a loss at LSU. The
17th-ranked Bulldogs ride a six-game winning streak into Saturday's
game in Tuscaloosa and are also 7-2.

That's the program's longest streak since opening the 1999
season 8-0.

Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy says losing a second game
"feels like the end of the world." The Tide was coming off two
perfect regular seasons, after all.

Bulldogs coach Dan Mullen says his team has high expectations
for how they want the season to turn out, too.

A win over the Tide "would be a natural deal for us to improve
on that success and continue on our good year."
