The Auburn Football Team held it's first scrimmage of the pre-season on Wednesday. And, predictably, most of the questions after the workout centered on the Tigers three-way quarterback battle.

Barrett Trotter, Clint Moseley and freshman Kiehl Frazier got equal reps with the first team offense during Wednesday's scrimmage. Offensive Coordinator Gus Malzahn said that was by design, giving all three players a chance to make their mark.

But, Head Coach Gene Chizik says it's too early to consider any of those three players the favorite to replace Cam Newton under center.

"All of them did well today," Chizik said. "They did some good things and they did some bad things. We're not going to know more until we go back and evaluate it, but I thought all three of them moved the football team.

"I can't say where this puts everybody, in terms of position, but they all did some good things, and obviously, they've got a lot of things they need to work on as well."

There were few details released from Wednesday's scrimmage. Among the few highlights, an interception for linebacker Jake Holland and a fumble recovery by Jonathan Mincy.
