Auburn learned a few things in last week's win over Mississippi State. Chief among those lessons; the defense still has a long way to go.
The Bulldogs rolled up over 500 yards last weekend, including several explosive plays. Now, the Tigers are heading to Clemson, another team with dynamic offensive weapons.
So, the Tigers know they must make strides defensively if they hope to escape Death Valley with a win, especially on third down, where the Bulldogs converted at a 57 percent rate last week.
"We've certainly addressed it a lot this week, and we've spent a lot of time looking at it, evaluating it, on both sides of the ball, because we're very poor on both sides of the ball, both converting them and stopping them,” Auburn Head Coach Gene Chizik said.
Clemson will host Auburn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday on ABC.
