Auburn will open conference play on Saturday, hosting Mississippi State. And, that means a date with the Bulldogs high-powered offense.
the Bulldogs rolled up 59 points and a school record 645 yards against Memphis last Thursday night. Those aren't good numbers for an Auburn defense that allowed 38 points and 448 yards to Utah State last Saturday.
The Tigers know they'll have their hands full, because the Bulldogs can beat you in so many different ways.
"Their play-action game is really, really good because it comes off of such an effective run game," Auburn Head Coach Gene Chizik said. "That offense, right now, is clicking. It's hitting on all cylinders. There's no question, there's a lot of confidence. They're physical, they've got a great complimentary pass game to their run game.
"Scoring over 50 points in their last two games is not by accident."
Auburn will host Mississippi State at 11:21 a.m. on Saturday, and the game is being carried on WTVY.
