AUBURN, Alabama -- Former Pinson Valley star Earnest Robinson has failed to academically qualify to play at Auburn and will enroll at East Mississippi Community College, according to a text message from Pinson Valley head coach Matt Glover.
Robinson will enroll at East Mississippi on Monday, Glover said.
Robinson, who signed with Auburn in February, had been taking classes in a credit recovery program at Center Point High School this summer in an effort to replace three 'D' grades with A's so he could qualify.
Now, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Robinson will play football at East Mississippi Community College for two seasons and then find a Division I school.
