A day after getting a commitment from quarterback Sean White, Auburn added another weapon to its 2014 recruiting class, as Monroe (Ga.) athlete Stanton Truitt announced his commitment to the Tigers via Twitter.
Truitt (5-10, 185), rated a three-star prospect by both Rivals.com and 247Sports and a four-star by ESPN, had more than 25 offers, including Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee and UCLA. He ran for 1,448 yards, threw for 812 and scored 28 total touchdowns as a quarterback for Monroe Area High.
Recruited by receivers coach Dameyune Craig, he projects as a slot receiver and potential wildcat quarterback for Gus Malzahn at Auburn.
