AUBURN, Alabama – Auburn President Jay Gogue expressed disappointment Friday in the football team's season and said while he'd listen to the recommendation of his athletics director, the future of coach Gene Chizik is "a decision I have to make."
Gogue reiterated Friday that he would decide whether to retain Chizik after the season. He also said he was disappointed in Auburn's 2-8 football season. Gogue made his comments after a regular-scheduled Board of Trustees meeting in which football was not on the agenda.
