The word is already out on Alabama's potential prospects for the 2014 draft. Depending on which juniors decide to leave early, the Tide could top the four first-rounders they had taken in 2011 and 2012. ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper, Jr., lists six Crimson Tide players in the top 41 on his initial big board for 2014, led by junior offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandjio.
According to the National Football Post, however, another promising draft prospect on Alabama's roster may be a bit more surprising.
In rating the senior class of receivers for next year's draft, the NFP listed Alabama's Kevin Norwood at No. 5 on the list. Largely overshadowed by freshman phenom Amari Cooper, Norwood (6-2, 195) was second on the team last year with 29 catches for 461 yards and four touchdowns.
