TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama has signed three junior college
linemen, including former Tennessee starter Aaron Douglas.
Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban said Friday that Douglas, Jesse
Williams and Quinton Dial will be eligible for spring practice.
Williams is a 6-foot-4, 330-pound defensive lineman considered
the nation's top junior prospect. He is from Brisbane, Australia
and took up football at age 14.
He and Douglas were teammates at Arizona Western Junior College.
Douglas started nine games as a freshman offensive tackle at
Tennessee before receiving his release from new coach Derek Dooley
Dial originally signed with the Crimson Tide out of
Clay-Chalkville High School in 2008 but landed at East Mississippi
Community College. The defensive lineman is ranked 14th in the
Rivals.com 2011 JUCO Top 50.
