Alabama gets split signing day decisions

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama won at least two big recruiting
battles on national signing day, and lost a couple.

The Crimson Tide landed North Carolina defensive end Jeoffrey
Pagan Wednesday, while Russellville running back Brent Calloway
chose Alabama over Auburn.

The Tide apparently lost out on two big targets. Offensive
lineman Cyrus Kouandjio (Kwan'-jo) of Hyattsville, Md., said he
would sign with Auburn while Columbus, Ga., running back Isaiah
Crowell opted for Georgia.

Kouandjio hadn't signed by Wednesday afternoon.

The Tide's projected top 10 class featured Orlando high school
teammates, safety Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix and running back Demetrius
Hart. Rivals.com rates Clinton-Dix as the top safety and No. 7
overall prospect and declares Hart the nation's top all-purpose
back.

Hart is among nine signees already enrolled.
