TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Officials said the University of Alabama's athletics department is donating $1 million to tornado relief efforts.
They say the money will go to the Acts of Kindness Fund, which
the university created to support students and employees affected
by the storm.
UA Director of Athletics Mal Moore said in a statement that university officials looked into several ways of helping during this trying time, and decided to take funds of their own to assist members of the university community who are facing very difficult circumstances.
