Alabama Turns to Youngsters for RB Depth

The Alabama Football Team hit the field on Wednesday morning, and all of the same questions continue to surround the Crimson tide. Starting quarterback is the biggest question, but the team has other areas of concern.

One of those areas is running back, where the Tide appeared thin after a transfer (Demetrius Goode) and an injury (Dee Hart) cost the team two players. But, Head Coach Nick Saban believes his team will be just fine at that position, thanks to some young players who are stepping in to fill the void behind Trent Richardson and Eddie Lacy.

"We're still working Blake Sims a little bit at quarterback, but probably a little bit more at running back," Saban said. "Brett Calloway is coming along at running back too. Christion Jones is probably a little bit more of a receiver now"

Alabama will wrap up two-a-day practices on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. The team will hold single practices on Thursday and Friday, leading up to Saturday's scrimmage at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
