Alabama Dives Into SEC Play

Alabama is finished with tune-ups. The Crimson Tide will open conference play this weekend against West Division rival Arkansas.

The Tide and Razorbacks are the only teams in the league yet to play an SEC game. All of that will change on Saturday, when the Hogs look to prove they're for real, and the Tide tries to stay on course for a run to the SEC Championship Game.

"Everyone turns it up once we get to SEC play, so I think we're really excited about the challenges Arkansas presents," junior offensive lineman Barrett Jones said. "They have a really good offense, and also a really good defense this year."

"The guys are getting motivated and getting ready," junior safety Robert Lester said. "From our workout group yesterday (Sunday), it seems like the guys that are on the team are more than ready to go play.

"We're looking forward to it."

Alabama will host Arkansas at 2:30 on Saturday on WTVY.
