Alabama Defense Fine With 2009 Comparisons

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- Let the comparisons begin for Alabama's
defense.

The Crimson Tide is loaded with talented and experienced defenders, much like the 2009 group that spearheaded a national
title run. Or the 1992 defense that did the same.

Linebacker Dont'a Hightower and All-America safety Mark Barron lead a group that returns 10 starters from the nation's No. 3 scoring defense. The group also boasts pass-rushing hybrid linebacker/defensive end Courtney Upshaw, cornerback Dre
Kirkpatrick and safety Robert Lester, who had eight interceptions
last season.

It's particularly loaded with linebackers, including Nico Johnson and C.J. Mosley, who had 67 tackles and returned two interceptions for touchdowns as a freshman in 2010.

Coach Nick Saban doesn't deny the latest version's talent but
says the big question is, "What are you going to do with it?"
