Today, the Tide's veterans and rookies converged on the field for the first, unified team practice of 2013. Just like day 1, no pads, only helmets and jerseys were worn.
Today, LaMichael Fanning still tested out the waters at tight end. With Malcolm Faciane out, Fanning is an option to fill the position. All six quarterbacks warmed up their guns. They were split into two groups of three; AJ McCarron, Alec Morris and Cooper Bateman as one trio and Blake Sims, Luke Del Rio and Parker McLeod as the other. The six worked with tight ends and receivers. As for Jalston Fowler, he's back on the field running. Although he is still recovering from left knee surgery, he is healthy enough to run with a brace.
The Tide will practice at Bryant-Denny Stadium tomorrow at 2:30 for Fan Day. Practice is open to the public.
