Rundown: Three hits and a sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning put Alabama ahead 2-0. Kyle Overstreet led off with a single and scored on a one-out double by Austen Smith. Mikey White reached on an infield single and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Brett Booth.
Clutch Moment: With Alabama leading 3-0, Tucker Hawley replaced Crimson Tide starter Mike Oczypok in the eighth inning and quickly gave up two runs, and the tying run was on third base with nobody out. Hawley then struck out David Richards, and Wynn was thrown out at home by Overstreet, the charging second baseman, on a squeeze bunt by Parker Nix. Chris Arnold grounded out to Hawley to end the inning.
