TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Darius Paige's well-documented journey from Pensacola to Alabama is finally nearing its completion.
Paige, a four-star defensive lineman who saw his recruiting stock soar after he committed to the Crimson Tide in May 2012, was recently cleared by the NCAA and will enroll Monday -- just in time to get in the classroom for the second session of summer semester, AL.com has learned.
BamaOnline and TideSports.com first reported the positive development for Paige, who finished his senior season at Foley High with 42 tackles and three sacks.

A source close to Paige confirmed in June that he had to retake an English class from his early high school years at Washington High in Pensacola, Fla., and was also hoping to boost his ACT score. An improvement in one of the two was presumed to be enough to get Paige on campus, the source said.
