WASHINGTON, DC -- On Wednesday, March 6, President Obama will welcome the BCS National Champion University of Alabama Crimson Tide to the White House to honor their 15th championship and their exceptional 2012-2013 season. The President will also continue his tradition of honoring sports teams for their efforts both on and off the field by recognizing the efforts by the Crimson Tide to give back to their community.
This will be the third time in four years the Crimson Tide has traveled to Washington D.C. The Tide met with President Obama after the 2010 and 2012 BCS Championship victories.
Alabama won the 2013 BCS Championship Game with a 42-14 victory over Notre Dame in January.
