The national championship game is set and it's a dandy--top-ranked Notre Dame against No. 2 Alabama.

The Crimson Tide captured a thrilling Southeastern Conference championship game by rallying to beat No. 3 Georgia 32-28. AJ McCarron tossed a 45-yard TD pass to Amari Cooper with 3:15 left. The Bulldogs marched to the Alabama 4-yard line when the clock ran out.

The Crimson Tide trailed 21-10 after Alec Ogletree returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown in the third quarter. Alabama ran for an SEC title game record 350 yards. Eddie Lacy ran for 181 yards and two TDs. T.J. Yeldon carried 25 times for 153 yards and one score.

Both teams played like champions, but only the Tide is moving on to face the top-ranked Fighting Irish on Jan. 7 in Miami.

Also on the college gridiron:

-- Collin Klein threw a touchdown pass and ran for two scores and No. 7 Kansas State beat No. 23 Texas 42-24 for its third conference title in 117 years and a trip to the Fiesta Bowl. The Wildcats finished 11-1 overall to earn a share of the Big 12 title.

-- Twelfth-ranked Oklahoma held on to beat TCU 24-17 to clinch a share of the Big 12 title. Landry Jones threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns and Damien Williams ran 66 yards for a score to help the Sooners win for the 10th time in 12 outings this season.

James Wilder Jr. ran for two touchdowns as No. 13 Florida State held off Georgia Tech 21-15 to capture its first Atlantic Coast Conference championship since 2005, earning a trip to the Orange Bowl. It was Florida State's 13th ACC title.

-- Montee Ball ran for 201 yards and three touchdowns, and Wisconsin rushed for 539 yards to rout No. 14 Nebraska 70-31 in the Big Ten title game mismatch. The Badgers (8-5, 4-4 Big Ten) are the first team to reach the Rose Bowl with five losses. They will play Stanford on New Year's Day.

-- Storm Woods ran for two touchdowns in the first quarter and No. 16 Oregon State put up its highest point total ever, routing Nicholls State 77-3. It was supposed to be the Beavers' season opener but it got postponed by Hurricane Isaac.

-- Nick Florence threw for 296 yards and Lache Seastrunk rushed for 178 more as Baylor outscored No. 24 Oklahoma State 41-34. The 7-5 Bears have won at least seven games in three straight seasons for the first time since 1949-51. The Cowboys fall to 7-5.

-- Joe Southwick threw two touchdown passes to lead No. 25 Boise State to a 27-21 victory over Nevada. That gives the Broncos a share of the Mountain West Conference title and ensures their seventh consecutive 10-win season -- best in the country.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Central Florida will head to the Big East without another Conference USA championship.
Alex Singleton ran for 100 yards and plunged over the top for a 1-yard score in overtime to lift Tulsa to a 33-27 victory over the Golden Knights. The Golden Hurricane earn their first Conference USA title and Liberty Bowl bid since 2005.
UCF will settle for a close-to-home trip to the Beef `O' Brady's Bowl in St. Petersburg, Fla.
