Alabama Lands Top Recruit in DE DeMarcus Walker

In a decision that many believed came down to Florida or Alabama, Defensive End Demarcus Walker chose the Crimson Tide on Friday afternoon.

Some say in-state rival, Auburn was a close second behind Alabama.

Walker is a 6'4, 280 lb. Defensive End at Sandalwood high school in Jacksonville, Florida. ESPN ranks Walker as the 24th best recruit in the class of 2013, number three ranked defensive end.

Demarcus Walker is Alabama's 19th commit for 2013 and their 11th four-star recruit according to Rivals.com

Walker has offers from Arkansas, LSU, Ohio St. and Oklahoma among others.

The four-star defender still plans to take all five of his official visits to Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Tennessee and USC.
