TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – On another nice afternoon, the Alabama football team is holding its second postseason practice Wednesday as it continues to preparation for the BCS Championship Game. The second-ranked Crimson Tide (12-1) will meet top-ranked Notre Dame (12-0) on Jan. 7 in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Senior linebacker Nico Johnson has accepted an invitation to play in the Jan. 26 Senior Bowl in Mobile. Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly has been named The Associated Press coach of the year.

Defensive backs coach Jeremy Pruitt is not at practice. We’re told it’s for personal reasons, not because he has accepted the job as defensive coordinator at Florida State (according to reports). Pruitt was at practice Tuesday.
