AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn coach Tony Barbee says this has been
his "funnest year" as a coach.
In that case, the Tigers' comeback from a 19-point deficit in
the final 11 minutes to beat Mississippi State must be his funnest
Barbee said Monday the 65-62 win didn't do much for his team's
confidence because it didn't need a big boost.
But he says it's further evidence that his players are starting
to understand how they can affect games defensively by "guarding
your butts off on each and every possession."
It was just the Tigers' second Southeastern Conference win.
Barbee says he has enjoyed his first season with Auburn so much
"because of the quality of the kids we've got."
The Tigers visit Mississippi Wednesday and host No. 18
Vanderbilt on Saturday.
