TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- A Tuesday report that Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron had a torn meniscus in his right knee was quickly refuted by multiple family members.

McCarron's mother, Dee Dee Bonner, and his cousin, Rusty McCarron, both shot down a series of Tweets from Russ Mitchell, a national college football columnist from FoxSports.com who wrote that "3 sources" had told him McCarron's meniscus was torn.
