OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Mike Washington had 22 points and 11
rebounds and Marshawn Powell added 19 points and two key blocks in
the final 1½ minutes to rally Arkansas to its second straight
come-from-behind win, upsetting No. 18 Mississippi 80-73 Sunday
night.
The Razorbacks (10-11, 3-3) earned back-to-back wins over
Southeastern Conference Western Division leaders, erasing an
eight-point deficit to beat the Rebels (16-5, 4-3) just days after
overcoming a 12-point deficit against Mississippi State.
Arkansas also snapped a 15-game road losing streak in the SEC.
Washington had 12 points and eight rebounds in the final 20
minutes and Powell had 12 points and blocked Murphy Holloway twice
with the game on the line.
Holloway finished with 19 points and 17 rebounds and Chris
Warren had 17 for the Rebels. Rotnei Clarke scored 18 for the
Razorbacks, who snapped Ole Miss' three-game winning streak.
