There's finally a resolution in the whole “fish-gate” mess in Tuscaloosa. The NCAA ruled Wednesday that Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones and running back Mark Ingram will be eligible to play Saturday against Virginia Tech.
The pair had been under some heat since they took a free fishing trip with Curtis Anderson earlier this year.
The NCAA says the two players will be reinstated as long as they pay restitution for a violation that included quote free food, lodging, transportation and entertainment. The dollar amount isn't specified, but will be paid to a charity.
The University had previously found that Anderson wasn't a booster to the Tide program and he really had no ties to the University.
