Auburn Freshman Running Back Michael Dyer is making a quick impact on the Plains. Because of an injury to Mario Fannin, Dyer got the start against Clemson. Fannin is healthy again, but we’re not sure if he'll get his starting gig back.
Dyer is putting up some pretty good numbers in his rookie campaign. He has rushed 39 times for more than 200 yards.
He and South Carolina Freshman Marcus Lattimore were the tailback jewels in the last recruiting class. They'll face each other Saturday as the Tigers host the Gamecocks.
Tigers Coach Gene Chizik is happy with Dyer's progress so far.
