AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Matt Kenseth had the fastest qualifying
run for this week's Sprint Cup race and will be on the pole for the
third time this season when the green flag drops at Phoenix
International Raceway.
Carl Edwards is holding a 3-point lead over Tony Stewart with
two races left to decide the Chase for the Cup.
Edwards qualified ninth.
Stewart will start eighth.
