Gordon Accusing RCR Of Rigging Caution

CHICAGO (AP) -- Jeff Gordon wonders if Richard Childress Racing
intentionally caused a caution at Richmond to help Kevin Harvick
win that race.

Gordon was leading Harvick in Saturday night's race when RCR
driver Paul Menard spun with 16 laps to go. Gordon and Harvick
lined up 1-2 on the restart four laps later, Harvick took the lead
and went on to win his fourth race of the season.

Gordon questioned after the race if Menard spun on purpose, and
said Thursday speculation has continued that RCR ordered its driver
to bring out the caution.

Harvick said he's asked the team and was told Menard had a
legitimate tire problem. An RCR spokesman says the organization has no comment.
