Daytona, FL- It's the 53rd running of the Daytona 500. 500 miles around this 2.5 mile tri-oval that has affectionately become known as the great American race. Nascar fans from far & wide have reved up their passion for racing.

But with good reason, this years draw is shines the spotlight on a number from the NASCAR past.

Victory lane is a bit soggy today naturally because of the weather. But also because it's an emotional time for the NASCAR enthusiast. 10 years ago, Dale Earnhardt senior's final lap was a fatal lap. And while His head first collision into the wall in turn 3 was tragic, his legend still lives on throughout the speedway.
