Cottonwood High School Senior Kalen Coachman signed to play football for Point University on Wednesday.
Coachman played offense and defense for the Bears. He earned 605 yards and scored seven touchdowns in his senior season. On the other side of the ball, Coachman had 70 tackles and four interceptions.
The senior says that Point offered him the best opportunity to play.
"I feel good about signing you know. It's a dream come true. I always wanted to be a football player. Dreams do come true I guess, like people supporting me got my coaches behind me, my mama, my daddy. Just thankful" Coachman says.
This is the first football signing for Cottonwood since 2010.
