Sophomore safety Tray Matthews announced via his Twitter account on Tuesday that he is leaving the Georgia football team.
Earlier in the offseason Matthews was arrested for theft by deception after depositing his UGA stipend check twice.
In his tweet Matthews also suggested that he is considering a transfer to either Auburn or Louisville.
Matthews started six games as a true freshman in 2013.
Coach Mark Richt says he is "making room for guys that want to dothings right."
