(DOTHAN— Alabama Senior Guard Trevor Releford didn't earn SEC Player of the Year, but 1st Team All-SEC is nothing to scoff at.

Releford averaged 18.8 points a game as the consistent source of offense for the Crimson Tide all season.

The All-SEC honor was the fourth for Releford. He was first team as a junior, second team as a sophomore and a member of the all-freshman team in 2011.

The other Alabama player recognized by the SEC was Shannon Hale.

Hale was named to the All-Freshman team after scoring 8.8 points a game, but turning it on in during conference play. Hale scored 11.6 a game against SEC competition.

Alabama (13-18) faces LSU at 6 p.m. Thursday in the second round of the SEC tournament in Atlanta.
