Troy (10-19, 5-12 SBC) lost a heartbreaker to UT Arlington on Thursday night, 87-86 in double overtime. Troy battled back from a seemingly insurmountable deficit by closing out regulation on a 16-2 run, but the Mavericks held strong in the extra frames to take the win.

The Trojans are led this season by Hunter Williams at 13.8 points per game. Antoine Myer and Tevin Calhoun are also scoring in double figures, at 12.0 and 10.4 points per game respectively.

Texas State (8-22, 4-13 SBC) fell at South Alabama Thursday night, 63-53. The Bobcats have lost four straight and 7-of-8 overall. Texas State is led by Joel Wright at 15.0 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

The winner on Saturday night will earn the final bid to the 2014 Sun Belt Championships in New Orleans next week. Should the Trojans win, they could earn the seventh seed, if ULM were to fall at UALR. If Texas State wins, the Bobcats would earn the eighth seed.

Troy fell at Texas State earlier in the season, 63-53. Wes Hinton had a career-night, scoring 24 points.
