West Alabama player killed in car accident

LIVINGSTON, Ala. (AP) -- West Alabama football player Anthony Robinson has been killed in a car accident.
Robinson's high school coach, Andro Williams, said the 19-year-old freshman defensive back and his 12-year-old cousin died in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon on U.S. Highway 43 near his hometown of Linden, Ala. Williams said Monday the vehicle Robinson was driving collided with an 18-wheeler.
Williams says Robinson started four years at quarterback and defensive back. He says counselors and ministers spoke to the Linden High School players on Monday.
Williams says Robinson "was just a kid that enjoyed living life."
West Alabama coach Will Hall says Robinson "was a tremendous young man."
Troopers officials in Selma and Montgomery referred calls from The Associated Press to a spokesman, who was out of the office for the holiday.
