TROY, Ala. – Following a record-breaking rooking campaign, Troy’s Jordan Chunn has been named to the College Football News Freshman All-America Team as an honorable mention selection.
The Huntsville, Ala., native set a Troy freshman record as he found the end zone 14 times on the ground. Chunn’s 14 rushing touchdowns were the most in the country by a freshman running back, the 14th most overall in the NCAA and the third most in a single-season in Troy history.
Chunn rushed for at least one touchdown in Troy’s final six games of the season and scored multiple touchdowns in four different contests, including at ACC runner-up Duke. His rushing touchdown total ranked second overall in the Sun Belt behind only WKU’s Antonio Andrews – the nation’s fifth-leading rusher.
Chunn accounted for Troy’s two longest rushes of the season with a 47-yard run against Texas State and a 42-yard run against ULM. Chunn finished the season with 514 rushing yards on 128 carries.
