The Golden Spikes Award is presented annually to the top amateur baseball player in the country. Collins is one of 29 new players added to the initial list that was announced in February. USA Baseball will release 30 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award on May 28.

Collins leads the Sun Belt Conference with a .690 slugging percentage, 57 RBIs, 21 doubles and 116 total bases.
