TROY, Ala. – Following its first off day since opening fall camp on Aug. 1, the Troy football team battled the heat Monday morning for two and a half hours on the turf in Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Troy offense and defense came together for the majority of Monday’s practice as the players and coaches worked on making adjustments from Saturday’s scrimmage. The session ended with the Trojans working on the two-minute drill.

The Trojans will hit the field at 6:30 Tuesday morning for the final practice of fall camp as classes begin at Troy on Wednesday.

Fans will have an opportunity to meet their favorite Trojan players and coaches on Saturday when Troy holds its annual Fan Day. Troy will open the doors of Trojan Arena at 1 p.m. and fans can get autographs and take pictures with the football, volleyball, soccer and cross country teams. The Troy cheerleaders and T-Roy will also be in attendance and the Trojan Warriors will be providing free food and drinks.

The Trojans open the 2013 season by hosting UAB at Veterans Memorial Stadium on August 31. Kick off between the Trojans and Blazers is set for 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
