AUBURN, Alabama -- In the wake of former Auburn basketball star Korvotney Barber's death, coach Tony Barbee has announced that the proceeds from his charity golf tournament will go to Barber's family.
Barber died swimming last week off the coast of Panama City Beach. He left behind two young children, a girl and a boy. The news of donating to the kid's educational funds was announced via Barbee's Twitter acccount. The tweet read, "Happy 2 say proceeds from my CharityGolf Event will benefit an educational fund set up 4 the children of Korvotney Barber."
This will be Barbee's third annual M.A.D.E Golf Tournament. The event is scheduled for Sepetember 27 at Moore's Mill Country Club in Auburn.
