Tony Barbee May Limit Frankie Sullivan's Role in Upcoming Games

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) -- Auburn coach Tony Barbee is trying to shake leading scorer Frankie Sullivan out of a slump.

Barbee sat Sullivan down for the final 10 minutes of a loss to Kentucky after the senior guard was called for a flagrant foul and missed a layup.

Barbee says he had to do something to get his top player's attention and "it's time to look at somebody else at that position."

It remains to be seen whether that decision carries over into Wednesday night's game against Arkansas.

Sullivan had 26 points in a double-overtime loss to the Razorbacks a few weeks ago, but hasn't been the same since. He is shooting 30 percent and averaging 11.1 points over the last seven games with just nine 3-pointers.

He's averaging 15.7 points for the season.
