Alabama picked up its 12th commitment for the class of 2014 on Sunday when Cincinnati wide receiver Derek Kief announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide on Twitter and his personal website.
Kief, a 6-foot-5, 197-pound star from LaSalle High School, chose the Crimson Tide over Ohio State and Kentucky and gives Alabama its second major commitment of the weekend following the pledge of five-star quarterback David Cornwell on Friday.
A consensus four-star prospect among the major recruiting services, Kief is rated the nation's No. 21 wide receiver prospect by 247Sports. As a junior, he hauled in 65 receptions for 907 yards and 9 touchdowns.
