Texas A&M Linebacker Damontre Moore Will Turn Pro

DALLAS (AP) -- Texas A&M leading tackler Damontre Moore says he went back and forth before deciding that the Cotton Bowl will be his last game for the Aggies.

Moore says there were a lot of pros and cons about foregoing his senior season to enter the NFL draft. He said Monday that the deciding factor was the support of his teammates and coaches.

Many projections have Moore being one of the top NFL draft picks. Moore says his potential draft position was a big part of his decision.

Moore led the Aggies in tackles (80), sacks (12 1/2) and tackles for losses (20) this season. He was a first-team All-Southeastern Conference pick and was a finalist for the Ted Hendricks Award.

Texas A&M plays Big 12 co-champion Oklahoma on Friday night.
