TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- The SEC championship game features two formidable pairs of tailbacks.
No. 3 Georgia brings Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall into Saturday's game against No. 2 Alabama with a combined 1,858 yards and 22 touchdowns. The Crimson Tide's duo of Eddie Lacy and T.J. Yeldon are a mere 10 yards behind and two touchdowns ahead.
Even more impressively, all but Lacy are freshmen.
Gurley is the frontman in the twosome nicknamed Gurshall after ex-Georgia star Herschel Walker. He and Lacy have already topped 1,000 yards. Yeldon is on pace to get there and Marshall has a shot, too.
Alabama defensive end Damion Square passed on the question of which duo is best.
His response: "I play for the University of Alabama. So..."
Maybe the title game will answer more conclusively.
