The Atlanta Falcons have received the green light to move forward with their new stadium plans.
Over the weekend, the second of two churches in the footprint of the proposed stadium voted to accept a buy-out offer from the city and team.
Friendship Church negotiated with the Falcons and the City of Atlanta for several months before reaching a decision. The church will receive $19.5 million dollars.
The team wants to build its new $1 billion stadium just south of the Georgia Dome. Mount Vernon Baptist Church accepted the deal last week.
