It's been a wild recruiting ride for Auburn high linebacker Reuben Foster. But, if he stays true to his word this time, Foster's long and winding road has finally come to an end.
Foster verbally committed to Alabama on live TV on Monday night, choosing the Crimson Tide on FOX Sports South's brand new college football show, Next Class 2013. He picked the Tide over Auburn and Georgia.
Foster is a five-star linebacker prospect, who was committed to Alabama and Auburn earlier in the recruiting process. Now, he says the Tide is the right fit, again, pledging to sign a letter of intent with Alabama on Wednesday.
"I've been loving Alabama since I was a pup," Foster said. "I was raised as an Alabama fan by my mom and my dad."
Foster says it was a tough choice, but that in the end, Alabama's track record of sending players to the NFL was the key factor in his decision.
"I'm super excited to know they can put at that next level, and just to take care of my little girl and my family," Foster said.
Foster's commitment is not binding, as Alabama and Auburn learned in the past. It won't be official until Foster faxes a signed letter of intent on Wednesday.
